In October, we have had a splendid time performing and getting highschoolers to speak Shakespeare's words... in 8 days we visited all four high schools in Comal county ... with many Austin Shakespeare actors.  Lots of activity, full days, many questions and many more answers from students themselves and teaching-actors, too.

This "Shakespeare Alive" program was Gretchen Weicker's brain child --- made possible by The CISD Foundation.  How great it that? We wish more school districts has similar foundations to enhance speaking Shakespeare rather than having kids just read text ...

We also got to visit with some English, AP, and theater students as well as 10th, 11th and 12th graders!  At Canyon High, Canyon Lake, Smithson and Memorial with Justin Scalise, Gwen Kelso, Jill Swanson, Babs George, Matt Radford, Rob Matney, and Collin Bjork, our Romeo!   Thanks to all the teachers who made it possible.  Looking forward to reviewing those pre-and post attitudinal surveys...
