ACTOR BIOS

Robert Deike (Soothsayer, Lepidus,) Austin Shakespeare: “Henry Lyppiatt” Present Laughter, “Dromio of Syracuse” The Comedy of Errors, “Touchstone”, As You Like It, “Ensemble”, Will Power. Highlights: “Touchstone" & "Jacques” in different As You Like Its, "Mistress Page" in The Merry Wives of Windsor, “DickSurly, Gentleman” for The History of King Lear, “Scrooge” in A Christmas Carol, "Lord Stanley" in Booth's Richard III, and "Uncle Randy" in My Big Fat Indian Wedding. This is his first Antony and Cleopatra.

Kara Bliss (Octavia) has won numerous awards for theater and music. Austin Shakespeare: “Johanna” Present Laughter, “Dot” in Sunday in the Park with George, and “Titania” in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Zilker Park) Other Austin shows include “Lady Bracknell” in The Importance of Being Earnest, “Marian” in The Music Man, “Anna” in Closer, “Miss Adelaide” in Guys and Dolls, “Lulu” in The Birthday Party, “Audrey” in Little Shop of Horrors, and “Mabel” in Pirates of Penzance. In addition to numerous film and commercial credits, Kara is a violinist, photographer, and lead singer with a cabaret/jazz trio.

Valoneecia Tolbert (Iras) is an Austin homegrown stage, film and voice actor, who obtained her BFA from Texas State . She is excited to have the opportunity to work with Austin Shakespeare Festival. Her most recent roles include Henrietta Swan Leavitt in Reina Hardy's new work, The Afterparty directed by Liz Fisher, Marianne Angel in THE REVOLUTIONISTS directed by Rudy Ramirez, Ashe' Arts collaborative effort of Zell Miller, III and Sade Jones, THE PROCESS, and Hidden Room Theatre's production of HENRY IV as Kate Percy directed by Beth Burns. 

Colum P. Morgan is a Texas native who recently played Leonard in SEMINAR (Jarrott Productions); R.F. Simpson in Singin’ in the Rain (Zach Theatre); Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing (Austin Shakespeare).  Colum holds an MFA (Acting) from Univ. of Texas; BFA (Music & Theatre) from Univ. of Kansas.  He is a graduate of IMPP from LISPA (Neo), Berlin, Germany. Certified Meisner teacher.

Robert Ramirez (Antony) has worked all across the United States as an Actor, Director, and Voice and Text Coach. This year he worked with The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, American Players Theatre, and The Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis.  Most recently, he performed the Role of Iago in OTHELLO at Notre Dame Shakespeare. He looks forward to performing in A CHRISTMAS CAROL at Actors Theatre of Louisville this winter. Robert is the Senior Associate Chair and Head of the Acting Program at The University of Texas at Austin. He is also a proud member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association as well as Actors Equity.

Austin Shakespeare: Merry Wives of Windsor, A Street Car Named Desire.  Other Austin credits: Life's No Way, A Showbiz Trilogy (Frontera Fest), Uma Sonata Familiar, A Doll's House, Instructions for Dancing (Texas State University). Raymond T. Schultz (Enobarbus/Narrator) last appeared with Austin Shakespeare in 2011 as Claudius in Hamlet. A graduate of Wayne State University’s Hilberry Repertory Company, he has performed many Shakespearean roles, including Prince Hal in Henry IV, Part 1, Octavius in Julius Caesar, Orsino in Twelfth Night and Lafew in All’s Well That Ends Well. Ray is a Professor of Theatre at the University of Minnesota Morris, where he has directed productions of As You Like It, The Merchant of Venice, Twelfth Night, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Ray recently toured Blanche and Beyond, a solo show of the letters of Tennessee Williams.
