Rodgers & Hart music will be celebrated in this cabaret performance at the swanky Parker Jazz Club on Sunday April 3 at 7:30 p.m. This fundraiser will benefit the Austin Shakespeare education programs in schools and our free Shakespeare in the park productions.
“Our wonderful music director Greg Bolin brings a 21st-century musical style to these memorable hits from the 1940’s to the 1920’s. Richard Rodgers & Lorenz Hart wrote more than 500 songs together creating so many classic tunes. Our singers interpret these songs with overwhelming, amazing emotional intelligence.”
− -Ann Ciccolella (Artistic Director, Austin Shakespeare)
Take a journey with our amazing singers Pam Hart (the founder of Women in Jazz); Linda Nenno (from Austin Shakespeare’s Sunday in the Park); Corinna Browning (soprano with Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Austin); and Chaz Nailor (our own classic jazz baritone).
Consummate in entertainment, this evening at Parker Jazz Club will bring you such favorites as “Blue Moon,” “My Romance,” “The Lady is a Tramp,” and “Thou Swell” to name but a few. Come out to support us and enjoy your night out with an evening of music that truly lasts forever.
